Urgent Manifesto

1998 × 1080

A short film I directed and edited, built around a performance in a room filled with books, plants and collected objects. Colour portraits alternate with isolated monochrome inserts and on-screen text. The film received five international festival selections.

Early independent work

An early independent film, made with personal resources and a small production setup. Performance and experimentation became a way to create a strong point of view with what was available.

Visual description
Visual summary from sampled frames: Warm, amber-lit images linger on a furnished interior with books, plants, lamps, papers and clocks. Close-ups of a woman drinking and holding her face alternate with wider views of her seated in the room. Brief monochrome images appear inside small frames against black. Later, she laughs directly toward the camera. English subtitles accompany the Portuguese soundtrack in the pictured scenes. The ending returns to an arrangement of clocks and plants, then overlays credits on the room. This summary covers visual motifs rather than every shot.

Drops de hortelã. Aceita?
